I’m delighted to share my recent project at Emerald 9, Cheras, where I designed and crafted custom cabinetry to combine style with functionality.
In the kitchen, the wall cabinets are crafted using Eco Plus materials with a smooth matte white finish, creating a sleek and modern appearance. The tall cabinet, base units, and the cabinet above the fridge are designed with melamine in warm wooden tones, adding a natural and contemporary feel to the space. A porcelain worktop completes the design with a durable and stylish surface. A tall cabinet next to the sink offers additional storage, while the dish rack, conveniently positioned above the sink, ensures essential items are always within reach. Near the entrance, a tall cabinet with the same wooden tones is used to discreetly conceal the DB box, seamlessly blending into the kitchen’s cohesive design.
The bathroom embraces a modern minimalist contemporary style, with cabinets made entirely from eco-friendly materials. The combination of matte dark grey and matte white surfaces lends a sleek and sophisticated touch. A mirror placed between the cabinets not only enhances functionality but also serves as a stylish focal point, elevating the bathroom’s aesthetic.
The shoe cabinet is designed with a modern minimalist contemporary concept, using ivory melamine to match the wall colour for a seamless and cohesive appearance. Ventilation grills are integrated into the design to allow proper airflow, ensuring the compartments remain fresh and odour-free. This practical detail enhances both functionality and the clean, understated aesthetic.
This project at Emerald 9 showcases how thoughtful material selection and purposeful design can transform everyday spaces. From the sleek elegance of the kitchen to the refined practicality of the bathroom and shoe cabinet, every element is tailored to complement the home’s modern aesthetic and functionality.

Dealing with Jornes from VIC was a really pleasant experience. I had my own design idea prior, and he was super patient and professional, explaining all the dos and don’ts and why some things wouldn’t work. We spent a lot of time discussing/finalising everything before starting the installation. He wasn’t pushy at all, which gave me enough time to really think it through. He also followed up closely, and once the renovation started, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Same goes with the touch-up after completion of the installation.
