Park Place
Cabinetry work at The Park Place, Desa Park City
Tucked within one of Kuala Lumpur’s most thoughtfully planned residential enclaves, this unit at Park Place was shaped with a clear vision—calm, elegant, and understated. The cabinetry throughout was designed and built not just to serve a purpose but to quietly elevate daily living.
In the kitchen, clean silhouettes and practical layout choices guide the experience. Cabinet doors were constructed using 18mm EcoPlus panels, paired with coloured M+ plywood carcasses—both E0- grade materials, ensuring low emissions and a healthier indoor environment. The design features a C-channel handle system that lends a seamless, handleless aesthetic, complementing the minimalist mood. We installed a pull-out unit below the cooker to improve accessibility and make it easier to reach everyday essentials without disrupting the flow of movement. The soft, warm matte grey chosen for the kitchen reflects a calm tone—neutral enough to blend yet distinct enough to define.
Just steps away from the main living area, a custom-built display cabinet makes a subtle statement. Positioned near the entryway, this piece was designed to serve both aesthetic and functional needs. Finished in E1-grade melamine panels, it provides a space for decorative items or daily essentials, creating a welcoming vignette upon arrival.
We crafted full-height swing-door wardrobes in the master bedroom using eco-plus door panels, paired with E1-grade MFC carcasses. The tone is kept consistent with the rest of the unit—a soft wood-inspired texture that blends effortlessly into the serene bedroom palette. The doors open easily, revealing organised internal spaces tailored to daily needs.
The second bedroom also features a full-height wardrobe, this time designed with sliding doors below and swing-door storage above. This hybrid configuration maximises vertical space while maintaining easy access. A study table was integrated into the same structure, allowing the design to support both rest and productivity without taking over the room.
In Bedroom 3, the wardrobe takes on a different character. Constructed fully from melamine E1 panels, its tone adds a slight contrast to the home’s overall palette while still maintaining visual balance. Like the others, it was built full-height, giving the room a sense of scale and purpose.
Two bathrooms—one attached to the master and the other for guests—were fitted with vanity cabinets, each constructed from EcoPlus panels with coloured M+ plywood carcasses. These vanities provide ample under-sink storage while keeping the counters clean and the bathroom atmosphere tranquil.
Across the entire home, the choice of materials was intentional. Most cabinetry follows the same matte, muted tone seen in the kitchen—a consistent thread that ties the spaces together. While each room brings its rhythm and function, there’s a shared language in the textures and finishes, creating an experience that feels quietly luxurious without ever needing to say so.
