Sunway Velocity Two
Cabinetry work at Sunway Velocity 2, KL.
For this unit at Sunway Velocity Two, the space was curated with intention—balancing form, function, and a quiet sense of comfort. Inspired by Japandi and Muji design philosophies, the interior embraces clean lines, warm tones, and purposeful simplicity, creating a retreat from the pace of city life.
The living room features a custom-built TV cabinet, which serves as both a focal point and a functional centrepiece. A 6-foot hanging unit offers storage below, while the backdrop—finished in matte melamine marble-effect panels—adds subtle texture without glare, giving the space a refined, modern edge. Above it, a tall display cabinet with black glass doors brings contrast and elegance, offering a practical space to display curated décor while keeping the overall look tidy and balanced.
In the master bedroom, a swing-door wardrobe was constructed in a soft, wood-toned Muji-style finish—emphasising simplicity and natural warmth. The design prioritises accessibility and a clutter-free layout, creating a tranquil atmosphere. In another bedroom, a sliding wardrobe was introduced in a matching finish, paired with a seamlessly integrated study table to make full use of the available space—ideal for both rest and productivity.
We thoughtfully placed a slim display cabinet near the main entrance to greet guests and residents alike. This piece enhances the visual impression upon entry and serves a practical purpose as a drop-off point for small items, keys, or decorative accents.
Throughout the home, all cabinetry was built using E1 grade melamine panels—chosen for their low formaldehyde emissions, durability, and consistent surface quality. These materials align with a design philosophy that values both aesthetics and well-being, supporting a clean, breathable, and harmonious living space.
