Nadira Klang

I’m excited to share my recent project at Nadira in Bukit Raja, Klang, where I had the privilege of designing and crafting custom cabinetry and furniture to create a home that harmonizes style, functionality, and practicality. This project include a minimalist style of kitchen cabinet in the dry and wet kitchen, a swing door wardrobe in the master bedroom, a melamine shoe cabinet right at the main wooden door, and a melamine tv console in the living area.

For the dry kitchen, I designed a sleek, multifunctional space with a thin-look quartz countertop and a J-channel handle-less concept, enhancing the kitchen’s modern, minimalist aesthetic. These elements create a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, ideal for both serving and socializing. A slightly elevated bar counter was incorporated, offering a versatile area for dining, entertaining, and casual gatherings.

Next to the sink area, I arranged a 400mm aluminum pull-out basket near the sink for easy access to essentials, and a 450mm tall ladder basket within the tall unit for dry food storage. The design also features a cutlery organizer in the drawer for convenient storage. A stainless steel sink carcass adds durability and water resistance, while LED strip lights under the wall units and along the bar counter enhance the ambiance, creating a bright and inviting space. Together, these features combine beauty and functionality for a truly dynamic kitchen design.

The wet kitchen, located in the home’s extended back area, is designed as the dedicated space for cooking and food preparation. I designed the kitchen with both wall units and a base unit. The base unit is positioned beneath the pre-constructed concrete table to maximize storage efficiency. Inside the base unit, a 900mm pull-out dish basket near the sink helps keep the area organized. Ventilation grills in the cabinet doors provide safe storage for the gas cylinder, offering peace of mind by allowing any gas leakage to be detected easily through the grills. The wall unit is designed to fully cover the upper part of the kitchen hood, creating a seamless look. LED strip lights under the wall units ensure optimal lighting for cooking tasks. The Livinox kitchen hood, with its strong suction power, improves the cooking environment by efficiently absorbing oil and smoke. Meanwhile, the hob, with its excellent firepower, enhances the cooking experience, bringing out the full flavor in every dish.

In the master bedroom, I designed a minimalist swing door wardrobe using eco plus panels for a sleek, durable finish. Its smooth surface resists fingerprints, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance. The wardrobe features a fingerprint drawer lock for added security and convenience, along with ample hanger rods for organizing clothes.

For the car porch, I designed a custom shoe cabinet with three distinct compartments to enhance organization and functionality. The lower compartment is designated for shoes, the middle open unit provides a handy spot for items like keys and bags, and the upper compartment is perfect for storing rarely used items like toolboxes. The open unit, in dark grey, creates a striking contrast that complements the main cabinet’s ivory tone, adding elegance to the overall design. The cabinet is crafted from durable ivory melamine panels, with eco plus panels used for the dark grey open section.

In the living area, the client requested a simple TV cabinet. I designed a minimalist TV console using melamine panels, complementing the modern interior with a clean, understated style.

Throughout this project, we used high-quality materials, including eco plus panels for the kitchens and wardrobe and melamine panels for the shoe cabinet and TV console. This careful material selection, along with thoughtful design and modern accessories, has resulted in a home that balances function and visual appeal.

This project showcases how attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and modern solutions can transform a home into a harmonious and functional space. I’m proud to have brought the homeowner’s vision to life at Nadira in Klang!
